Julie Pernet

As a Policy officer at the European Humanist Federation (EHF) since 2011, Julie has been in charge of the advocacy work on issues related to women's rights, LGBTI's rights and freedom of religion or belief. She has worked with a range of organisations and institutions in Europe (EU, Council of Europe, UN) and has coordinated a network of 60+ member organisations. Before joining the EHF, Julie worked as a research assistant at the CEVIPOL (ULB) on the project "Religion at the European Parliament" led by Pr. François Foret.
 
In 2009, she graduated from Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence where she studied political sciences and international relations. She then specialised in European politics and policy at the Institute for European Studies (Université Libre de Bruxelles). Julie has also been involved in projects with young people, by delivering trainings on European politics and raising-awareness interventions on LGBTI's rights.
